ABOUT ME

Md. Jobairul Islam is a Medical Physicist cum Radiation Control Officer (RCO) at Labaid Cancer Hospital and Super Speciality Center, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has completed his graduation and post-graduation in Medical Physics from the Department of Medical Physics & Biomedical Engineering (MPBME) at Gono University, Bangladesh.

Also, he has pursued his M.Sc thesis at the University Medical Centre Mannheim (UMM), the University of Heidelberg in Germany.

With his passion for the development of medical physics education in Bangladesh, Md. Jobairul Islam has been actively involved in the Bangladesh Medical Physics Society (BMPS) since 2013, now serving as the Secretary-General since 2021.

He has organized several national and international conferences and workshops in Medical Physics, strongly advocating for the advancement of the organization and the field as a whole.

Md. Jobairul Islam is also a science committee member of AFOMP, where he continues to work towards the professional development of medical physicists not only in Bangladesh but across the region.

• Performed external beam radiotherapy treatment planning and conduct dose calculation for 3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT, SRS/SRT, SBRT plans using Varian Eclipse TPS.
